Course Objective
Equip participants’ with the requisite knowledge and skills to facilitate efficient management of currency vault operations.

Course Content

• Cash management
• Currency security features and anti-counterfeiting deterrents
• Vault management, incident reporting, risk factors and controls
• Operations between the custodians and note examiners
• Strong room operations
• Management of stock levels per branch / for the whole bank as it relates to insurance cover
• Opening and closing procedures of the vault
• Cash distribution and logistics
• Security of cash in transit
• Arrangement between Central Bank and service providers (e.g security and transport providers)
• Contemporary issues in cash
• Customer care in relation to service to commercial banks
