- Introduction to the various types of reports in business, designing the report structure, drafting and laying out of the text, summarizing reports, editing and proof reading reports
- Report presentations – When and how to use graphics
- Overview of the different kinds of presentations e.g. persuasive presentations, impromptu presentations, etc.
- Provide participants with multiple techniques for speaking confidently in front of groups
- Identify the four essential components of a presentation:- content, design, structure and delivery
- Describe an audience analysis and why it is a needed step in presentation
- Organize information in a clear and concise manner
- Create an attention – grabbing introduction
- Implementing techniques for varying vocal tones and body language
- Develop strategies for handling hecklers, bullies and other disruptive participants
- Point out the benefits and pitfalls of various visual aid options and audience seating arrangements
- How to overcome fear of public speaking
- When and how to use humor
- Preparation and practice:- practical presentations and critique of the same
